About this section...
The purpose of this section is to present you with interesting
page formatting techniques. These pages were created by
mixing various techniques from the
HTML Tricks Page
and following the general method as suggested in our
Design Guidelines Page.
Each page consists of the following:
The actual page's contents at the top.
Non-operational link buttons on the top
part of the page to avoid confusion.
The source code with comments under the
demonstration page.
The BigNoseBird.Com navigation buttons at
the very bottom of the page as not to
interfere with the desired effect.
To customize any page for your use, just cut and paste the
source code section from the browser into your editor. After
that, just:
Create your own graphics and change the proper HEIGHT
and WIDTH attributes in the proper IMG tags.
Download a copy of
spacer.gif
which is a 1 pixel square transparent GIF file that is used
on many of the pages for spacing purposes. If your browser
does not ask you to save the file, right click on the
image below
Modify any links so that the graphic link agrees with
your target page.
Replace the text with whatever your page should be.
Add any additional graphics and notes where you want them.
These pages are examples of different styles that you may have
come across while surfing the web. The idea here is present them
with the absolute minimum of tags and verbage to keep the pages
easy to read, and easy to understand.
The examples collection will grow over time so check back in
every so often. Although not meant as commercials, we will often
use the name of the site we are working on if we have permission
to do so.
